Keen cyclists can join a tour with the Carter Company, which will take you through quiet country lanes, which wind their way through honey-coloured villages, over rivers and streams, and through valleys and hills with stunning views and sheep clad pastures. Be prepared for some slopes, but the Carter Company has carefully crafted the routes to minimise any steep gradients, so you can focus on enjoying the view and soaking up the atmosphere and culture of the area!

Football in the River

Every year, the peaceful waters of the Windrush River get choppy. So, instead of playing on their regular grass, this event sees two teams of six from Bourton Rovers Football Club play a 30 minute football match in the shallow river! The unusual game has been played for over 100 years and tends to receive crowds of spectators and global coverage. The match also raises money for the local football teams.
