Sunrise at St Andrews

Sunday 01 May 2011

St Andrews, home of golf but most definitely a whole lot more than golf. History, ancient buildings, great coastline and welcoming people. Yesterday morning though I got up early for a different treat too - a lovely sunrise: Many have seen the sun set in the final gripping moments of the British Open at the 18th green, but to see the sun rise up behind the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse first thing from the fairway made for a peaceful and impressive feeling.   If You would like to see more of Paul Steele's ramblings both in Britain and around the world you can follow him on Twitter @paul_steele, his Blog BaldHiker, Huffington Post and more VisitBritain posts
