Originally named the Thames Ironworks & Shipbuilding football team (hence its nickname, the Hammers) the club reformed as West Ham United in 1900.
In 2016 they relocated from their Upton park stadium to the London (Olympic) Stadium. Home matches in East London are often a sea of claret and sky blue jerseys, the clubs official colours.
West Ham’s passionate fans are famous for singing their famous team anthem, "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles". Their honours include 3 FA Cup wins.
