Boconnoc House and Gardens

Boconnoc is located 15 minutes from Bodmin and 40 minutes from Newquay airport, within easy reach of both the north and south coasts. There is a deer park within the grounds and the gardens, bursting with reds, pinks and yellows in the Spring and early Summer when the rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias are in flower, are open to visitors on Sundays in May. Group visits to the house, church and garden can be arranged at any time of the year. The Estate has been used for numerous film locations including the Rosamund Pilcher’s – Indian Bride, Happiness Unbridled, Questions of the Heart, Love on the Horizon and English Wine, scenes from the 1993 film of ‘The Three Musketeers’ and the BBC 2 production of ‘Daphne’.

If you are a budding artist, or would love to learn to paint, Boconnoc, the beautiful country estate in southeast Cornwall is hosting two art courses this year. The first is botanical art with Mally Francis - Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 August. The second is landscape art with Tim Scott Bolton - Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 September 2015.
