Much of the Sherlock TV series was filmed in Bristol. It is in leafy Queen Square that Emilia Ricoletti (otherwise known as the Abominable Bride) shoots at passers-by, while Portland Square stages the bonfire from which Holmes and Mary retrieve Watson.
