Squeezing into Britain’s smallest house
Cozy Quay House in Conwy, north Wales, is officially the tiniest house in Britain. Dating from the 16th century, the house is 10-feet-tall by 6-feet-wide and has just two rooms. It must have been a tight squeeze for the house’s last inhabitant – 6-feet-3-inch-tall Robert Jones, a fisherman who lived here until 1900. Upstairs is a bedroom just big enough for a single bed, while downstairs has a bench and fireplace. It’s an eye-opening experience that’s best done as part of a small group; only four visitors can fit inside at once!
