It’s been 50 years since England historically defeated West Germany in the 1966 World Cup and to commemorate this amazing event in sporting history, the National Football Museum will be hosting a slew of fun activities on Saturday 30 July. Celebrate the Golden Anniversary and take a journey back in time to the swinging sixties this weekend with plenty of fun for the whole family.

Join in on ’66-inspired arts and crafts such as rosette making, win museum season tickets from the retro tombola, get your hands on some ’66 themed prizes in the penalty shootout competition or crossbar challenge, meet Pickles the Dog, enjoy facepainting and more! Plus, don’t miss out on reliving the proud moment when captain Bobby Moore lifted the World Cup trophy by visiting the National Football Museum’s commemorative 1966 World Cup Exhibition as well as catching a full screening of the match on the museum’s big screen at 2pm.
