How to get to Hull & East Yorkshire

P&O overnight ferries operate from Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Zeebrugge (Belgium) with a morning arrival into Hull.

Humberside International Airport is a 30-minute drive from Hull city centre and operates 3 flights daily to Schiphol (Amsterdam) - perfect for connecting flights.

Guests arriving in Hull on Sunday are offered dinner, bed & breakfast at the Double Tree by Hilton Hull. Early check-in will be available for those arriving early Monday morning.

Tour at Hull Truck

Hull Truck is the city’s most famous theatre company, whose name dates back to their early days touring the UK in a truck! With their state of the art auditoriums, Hull Truck’s current multi-million pound home is a popular choice for conference organisers.

Tour at Bonus Arena with Tea & Scones

Recently celebrating its 1st birthday, the Bonus Arena is Hull’s state-of-the-art music, conference and exhibition venue. Guests will have chance to view the Arena’s exciting and versatile space before enjoying traditional English tea & scones.

12:00 - 13:15

Tour & lunch on board P&O Ferry

P&O are an established household name when it comes to their ferry services, but did you know that you can hold a conference or business event on board in the Port of Hull? Guests will be given a guided tour around the ship, including exclusive access to the bridge, before enjoying lunch on-board.

13:30 - 14:30

Port Tour

Guest will have the chance to have a behind-the-scenes tour of Hull’s impressive docks. The tour will delve into the huge scale operations that keep Britain trading at the UK’s busiest waterways.

15:00 - 16:15

Tour at University of Hull

The University of Hull’s leafy campus just outside of the city centre is a great option for conference organisers, with newly refurbished conference facilities, brand-new dedicated delegate accommodation blocks, and great drinks reception spaces.

16:15 - 16:45

Drinks & Canapés at the University

After a tour of the event facilities guests will enjoy drinks and canapés in The Observatory, which offers stunning views of the city and surrounding countryside.

Relax & get ready for evening

Guests’ own leisure time to relax and get ready for the evening.

Ale Trail

Hull’s Ale Trail is an atmospheric tour with our Hull tour guide and a chance to drink (alcoholic or not!) in a few of Hull’s most historic and fascinating pubs!

Dinner at Lion & Key

Along the way guests will stop at The Lion & Key, where beer mats cover the ceiling, for a taster of traditional pub fayre and a selection of local real ales and ciders.

Day 2 – Tuesday, 21 April 2020

08:00 - 09:45

Breakfast with penguins & Tour of The Deep

Enjoy a breakfast alongside some of Hull's most iconic residents before a guided tour of one of the UK's most spectacular aquariums, home to over 3,500 fish, sharks, rays and turtles! A ‘Penguin Breakfast’ Meeting is a great way to start your conference or event with a select number of board members, VIPs, speakers or sponsors. The Deep is also an impressive gala dinner venue where you can treat your delegates to an evening tank-side.


City Tour

Our English Heritage accredited tour guide Paul Schofield will meet us at The Deep and take us on a walking tour of Hull with whistle-stop visits to the city’s free Museums Quarter and historic Old Town; taking in beautiful architecture, unique pavement Fish Trail, and independent arcades and foodie markets.

Along the way guests will stop at The Taphouse for a taster of their corporate events offer, including a tour of their in-house brewery. Located in Hull's Fruit Market and adjacent to the city's picturesque waterfront, their extensive facilities have been designed to provide the ideal venue for hosting a wide variety of events!

11:30 - 12:20

Tour of Guildhall & Coffee with the Lord Mayor

The tour continues through the town before arriving at the prestigious Hull Guildhall where guests will be able to have a tea or coffee and a chat with the Lord Mayor and view the city’s civic venue, available for conferences and dinners.

12:45 - 13:50

Lunch & Tour of Hull Minster & Tower Tour

Guests will enjoy lunch in the magnificent 14th-century Hull Minster where they will then have the option to climb the 180 steps up to the top of the bell tower to experience panoramic view of Hull, or stay on the ground floor and explore the beautifully refurbished Minster with its flexible event space which can transform from religious ceremonies, to real ale festivals, to gala dinners!

14:00 - 15:30

Chocolate & Gin Making

Arriving at Hothams Gin School in Hepworth Arcade, guests will be greeted with a refreshing gin and tonic. The afternoon will be spent learning how to temper and flavour chocolate before creating 24 delicious gin truffles, infused with two flavoured gins of their choice, which guests can take away and enjoy at home.

Ferens Art Gallery & Free Time

The award winning Ferens Art Gallery is regarded as one of the finest regional art galleries in the country and hosted the Turner Prize 2017, one of the art world’s most prestigious events. The gallery is available for exclusive evening hire for intimate dinners, or grand drinks receptions and ice breaker events. Guests will have time to explore the gallery at their own pace, or venture out into Hull before making their way back to the hotel to get ready for the evening.

Tour & Dinner at Cave Castle

As you drive under the stone archway and up the sweeping drive you cannot fail to be impressed by the grandeur of Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club. Its original turrets, stone features and historic charm all make this place an idyllic conference and events venue. Guests will have the chance to tour the hotel before enjoying an evening meal in the hotel’s award winning restaurant.

Day 3 – Wednesday, 22 April 2020


DoubleTree by Hilton

We will depart the hotel at 10:00am by private coach to travel to the ICC Celtic Manor Wales.

Journey time is approximately 4 hours’ drive time so this will allow an extra hour for any travel disruptions as well as a mid-way break for everyone to stretch their legs.

A pack-up lunch will be provided by the hotel on departure, however guests will be able to purchase their own food & drink during a mid-way travel break if they wish.
