City centre, Exeter, England

  • Exeter is in the heart of England’s West Country, a region painted with rural charm that is a traditional seaside holiday destination for the British. Capital of the county of Devon, Exeter offers excellent road, rail and air links to the rest of the UK and Europe. The city is home to one of the world’s top universities, University of Exeter, a world-class museum and outstanding sporting facilities.
  • Exeter is a brilliant business event destination, with a venue offering that ranges from large, purpose-built facilities to small and unique gems. The international conference venue, Westpoint, is the largest exhibition and entertainment venue in the South West and has a 4,590sqm column-free indoor arena. The venue is located within 150 acres of landscaped external showground and accommodates up to 5,000 delegates in theatre-style seating.
  • The purpose-built conference and banqueting centre at Sandy Park seats over 800 people and the University of Exeter’s range of flexible rooms accommodate up to 1,400 delegates, with on-site accommodation. Small meeting venues in the city include historic Exeter Cathedral and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
  • Devon’s superior quality produce is served in the city’s many charming cafes, teashops, restaurants and bistros. In Devon, a cream tea is served with a dollop of jam atop thick clotted cream, spread on a freshly made scone, while in neighbouring Cornwall, the clotted cream is on top and the jam is spread on the scone.
