Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC)

The award-winning EICC is the city’s largest events venue, with outstanding facilities that include adaptable auditoria, break-out suites and spacious exhibition areas. Every space is complemented by the latest technology and extensive branding opportunities.  

  • The Pentland Suite is a tiered auditorium for up to 1,200 people. With revolving theatres, the suite can subdivide into three separate auditoria. 
  • The Lennox Suite has an innovative moving floor, which transforms the space into a raked auditorium, arena and tiered cabaret format for up to 2,000 delegates. 
  • The Lomond Suite can be used in full for 600 delegates theatre-style, or it can be subdivided into three separate sections for 200 delegates. 
  • The 1,185 sqm / 12,755 sqft Cromdale Hall is the perfect space a stunning dinner for up to 850 guests.

The University of Edinburgh Conferences & Events

The University of Edinburgh Conferences & Events offers a range of outstanding venues that can host events of all sizes, from an audience of up to 1,000 to fine-dining for 30 guests.

  • Take in the magnificent views of Arthur’s Seat from Pollock Halls or enjoy more centrally located venues that offer windows onto some of Edinburgh’s most spectacular views.
  • The University of Edinburgh Conferences & Events’ largest capacity conference venue is the 19th-century McEwan Hall, seating up to 1,700 delegates in its tiered auditorium. Other venues nearby - including Appleton Tower and David Hume Tower, can increase delegate numbers further by utilising lecture theatres, break-out rooms and catering spaces.
  • The John McIntyre Conference Centre is nestled in landscaped gardens, a stone's throw from the iconic Arthur’s Seat. Its main 330-seat room can be configured to meet most conference needs with the flexibility of being able to split into two, perfect for parallel sessions.
  • At The University of Edinburgh Conferences & Event' South Hall Complex you can host up to 350 guests theatre-style or 100 in a classroom setting. The venue floods with natural light during the day and features a cutting-edge thematic lighting system for evening events.

Surgeons Quarter

Surgeons Quarter is one central destination in Edinburgh’s old town consisting of four venues. Choose between the King Khalid Building with its tiered auditorium, the grandeur of the Playfair Building, the stature of the Quincentenary Conference Centre, or the splendour of the Prince Philip Building.

  • The King Khalid Building boasts a 158-seat auditorium, incorporating many of the original church features. The auditorium is supported by a state-of-the-art AV offering, which includes an audience voting facility.
  • The Playfair Hall is a magnificent room in the Playfair Building, with the capacity to host up to 350 delegates. It has a glass cupola ceiling, beautiful architectural detail and large windows on two sides.
  • The Wolfson Hall is a large space in the Quincentenary Conference Centre. Full black-out facilities, dimmed lighting and the latest AV are all standard. This Hall can be divided into two spaces with a dividing wall and has the ability to host up to 400 delegates.
  • The Deacon Suite is a stunning Hall on the first floor of the Prince Philip Building. It boasts a glass ceiling retaining many of the original architectural features.

Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

The College’s £3.5million refurbished Conference Centre is a unique venue that combines history and elegance with modern facilities, ideally located on Queen Street in the heart of the city.

  • The College has one of Edinburgh's largest purpose-built auditoriums, which can host up to 300 theatre-style.
  • Dating back to the Victorian era, the Great Hall can accommodate up to 150 delegates. The adjoining New Library can be hired as an additional space for receptions and catering.
  • A versatile suite of six meeting rooms are perfect for smaller meetings or break-out spaces, equipped with large screens and full audiovisual facilities as standard.
  • With stunning views across the rooftops of Edinburgh’s New Town out to the Firth of Forth, the Cullen Suite is a series of interlinked, naturally floodlit rooms for up to 32 theatre-style or a reception for 80 guests.

Assembly Rooms Edinburgh is a unique, premier conference and events venue in the heart of the city’s new town.

  • The Music Hall is highly flexible, with fixed and mobile retractable bleacher seats, 185 permanent seats in the balcony, and matching flat-floor seating resulting in a maximum capacity for 750. 
  • The Ballroom is an exceptionally elegant room that can also be adapted for a multitude of purposes. It has a capacity of 400 theatre-style or 320 for a seated dinner.
  • The Ballroom also features drawing rooms at each end, giving additional breakout space or the option of added reception and catering areas.
  • With both rooms on the same level, separated by the Crush Hall which is also available as a reception and registration area, they can be hired together for free-flowing integrated events.
