  • The purpose-built SEC Armadillo can accommodate 3,000 delegates theatre-style in its tiered auditorium.
  • The SSE Hydro hosts 140 live events every year, with seating for up to 12,000.
  • The Lomond Auditorium seats 624. It’s the largest space in the SEC’s Loch Suite with floor-level and removable tiered seating to create 490 sqm of clear-span space.
  • 800 onsite hotel bedrooms, with a further 7,000 hotel bedrooms within a 10-minute drive.

Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world. This prestigious backdrop is a spectacular setting for events, large or small.

  • Accommodating any size of event from five to 1,250 attendees, the University of Glasgow offers more than 700 sqm  or 7,534 sqft of event and exhibition space.

Located in the vibrant heart of Glasgow, this academic centre of excellence offers modern spaces from tiered lecture theatres, to high-tech seminar rooms and exhibitions halls.

  • Facilities include a 488-seat lecture theatre, as well as the stunning Lantern room, which can accommodate up to 80 delegates for smaller meetings and private dinners.
  • A choice of other spaces include 30 seminar rooms and flexible exhibition areas. 
  • The university’s Conference Hall can host banqueting for up to 220 guests, subject to stage and presentation requirements.
  • A 15-minute drive from Glasgow Airport.

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall 

Built in 1990 for Glasgow’s reign as European City of Culture, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is home to the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

The Main Auditorium seats up to 2,000 delegates. It is an excellent venue for large-scale conferences, with all delegates benefiting from good vantage points to the stage. 

The Strathclyde Suite can host a conference for up to 400 delegates theatre-style.

The Exhibition Hall is a self-contained square room ideal for hosting a conference for up to 300 delegates. 

The Lomond and Clyde Foyers, Strathclyde and Island Bars are areas within the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall which can be used as breakout areas for larger conferences or independently for conferences and meetings on a smaller scale.

Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC)

Immerse your event in research and innovation by holding it in this state-of-the-art venue in the academically renowned University of Strathclyde.

  • The TIC was founded in 1796 as ‘The Place of Useful Learning’ and is located on the campus of the University.
  • Flexible event spaces include the Main Auditorium for 450 and Executive Suite for 100 theatre-style, plus seminar rooms that can accommodate up to 50 delegates.
  • A system of movable walls allows planners to subdivide the Main Auditorium into a flat-floored space for 150 and tiered auditoria seating for up to 300 delegates. 
  • The Executive Suite offers a flexible, self-contained venue, with its own registration area and networking foyer, as well as views right across the campus.
