Day 1



Travel the world without leaving Belfast at this specialist deli. Pick up fancy chocolates, small-batch conserves, premium produce from Italy and a mouthwatering selection of charcuterie, cheeses and olives. Having trouble deciding what to buy? Swing by at lunch for one of their much-loved sandwiches or salads.


The Muddlers Club

Tucked away in the back streets of the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast is The Muddlers Club, an intimate restaurant with a rock 'n' roll twist. Gareth McCaughey, head chef and owner, sources the very best local produce on a daily basis to create wow-factor dishes that pop with colour. 


Boundary Brewing

Begin the evening at this local taproom, sampling a range of beautifully-labelled craft beers in the very place they're brewed. The great thing about drinking beer at the source is that prices are much lower. Winning!



Veggies look away; this glam restaurant is all about prime cuts of dry aged beef, matured in a Himalayan Salt Chamber. The dishes at Deanes Meatlocker should be savoured with every bite. Add beef dripping chips and a glass of red and you've got yourself a carnivore party, or should that be a carni-val.


Day 2 


Pyke 'n' Pommes

This unsuspecting food stall in Londonderry is one of the best street food spots in Northern Ireland. Sink your teeth into battered fish tacos and wagyu burgers whilst enjoying views of Queens Quay. 


Walled City Brewery

This independent brewery creates artisanal craft beers in small batches, using recipes perfected over the last 12 years. If you're not sure what to order, the barmen will be happy to let you sample them all, from their super-light pilsner to their dark and frothy 'Derry Milk' stout.


At the beach

If you like to wake to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore, drop your bags off at At the Beach. This luxury B&B in Portstewart has direct access to the beach. The breakfast options, which include north coast smoked salmon, fresh pancakes with bacon, kippers or a locally-sourced beach fry, are well worth getting up for. 


Harry's Shack

You know a restaurant's seafood is going to be off the hook when you have a view of where it once swam. That's exactly what you get at Harry's Shack, also in Portstewart. Make a beeline for a picnic table on the sand and get your fingers dirty feasting on whatever the local fishermen have caught that morning. 

Day 3


Catch & Sea Tour

If you want to take it one step further, jump on a boat and fish for your own breakfast. Yes, you have to get up super early, but there's nothing like catching a fish and filleting it out at sea, before returning to the Portrush Harbour to enjoy it with a side of poached eggs as the sun breaks through.


The Friend in Hand

Whiskey experts don't get much better than Willie Jack, owner of this part-shop-part-museum dedicated to liquid sunshine. Settle in for a tasting session and swot up on Irish whiskey with friendly experts. You'll find over 200 varieties here, so it's probably best to eat beforehand.



What better way to round off a foodie weekend than at a Michelin-starred restaurant in the centre of Belfast. This place is hyper-local; the chef only works with produce gathered from a 15-mile radius to create elegant dishes that are unique to the city.
