• With 2016 marking the 300th anniversary of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown’s birth, FarmStayUK has launched a Capability Brown WOWW Garden Trail, showing green-fingered travellers how to combine stays in quaint rural B&Bs on working farms with visits to some of the big names in Brown’s portfolio nearby. Taking in Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire (nicknaming this the WOWW Brown trail) – the trail takes in some of Brown’s most famous work as well as lesser-known gems; including Croome Court in Worcestershire and Lacock Abbey in Oxfordshire, where Downtown Abbey was recently filmed
In addition to the trail, Farm Stay UK has introduced a new ‘Capability Brown’ accommodation collection, allowing holidaymakers to search through all of their properties within a 15 mile radius of a Brown garden or landscape. Denoted with a ‘CB300’ search icon, this collection can be viewed here
