Colourful welcome space to the BoTree Hotel in London

Get into the swing of 2023 with a look at Britain’s newest and hotly anticipated accommodation. Whether it’s a stay in a restored historic manor house, a luxurious sleep in London’s Mayfair, or a rural adventure, there’s something for all.

 

Just opened

Radisson RED Liverpool

Opened December 2022

The first of its kind to open in the north of England, Radisson RED Liverpool has landed in one of Britain’s historic railway hotel buildings from the 1800s. Originally designed by Alfred Waterhouse, the Grade II-listed building has been expertly restored and pays homage to its past with modern elements intertwined throughout. On arrival, guests will discover a sweeping grand staircase in the entrance, with turrets and spires to boot. Throughout the 201 guest rooms and suites, enjoy unique art pieces from the Wirral-based creative group, Indigo Art. For foodies, there’s the Stoke Grill and Bar, which serves up ‘farm-to-fork’ dishes cooked over an open flame, as well as numerous vegetarian and vegan options.

Boys Hall, Kent

Opening January 2023

Stay in this beautifully transformed 17th-century Jacobean manor house in picturesque Kent, lovingly restored by a local husband and wife team. Having already opened the doors to its onsite restaurant and pub, January will see ten uniquely designed bedrooms made available to visitors. Following a two-year restoration project, the Grade II-listed Boys Hall now boasts a 70-cover restaurant, which plates up seasonal produce alongside vintage wines from its basement wine cellar. Guests can expect original interior features throughout the hotel, alongside locally sourced oak, merging past and present seamlessly together. Five of the suites will be home to super-king beds, a luxurious freestanding roll top bathtub and views across the grounds.

 

Bike and Boot, Peak District

Opening early 2023

Bikers, hikers and dog lovers alike will love this welcome retreat in the heart of the Peak District National Park, due to open its doors in early 2023. Simon Rhatigan and Simon Kershaw, of Bike and Boot, are set to welcome visitors to the Hope Valley, with the hotel joining the ranks of their 65-bedroom Bike and Boot hotel in Scarborough. The new 60-room boutique will see award-winning interior design consultants, Rachel McLane Ltd, thoughtfully create a space that pooches will also love, just as much as their adventurous owners! Everything needed to make a stay comfortable is included ­– from free tea and coffee, to cake, movies and more.

 

The Peninsula Hotel, London

Opening early 2023

London’s Belgravia will soon welcome a new five-star luxury stay in the form of The Peninsula Hotel. Set in this iconic part of Britain’s capital city, the hotel will be situated overlooking Hyde Park Corner and the Wellington Arch, an idyllic location for a nature-infused amble. Comprised of 190 rooms and suites, The Peninsula Hotel marks the international brand’s first foray into Britain. The in-house Academy programmes will add to the hotel’s cultural learning experience, promising a showcase of Britain’s rich culture. The site will further see destination restaurants, a lavish spa, a grand ballroom, a one-storey shopping arcade and 25 residential apartments. Known for bringing local history and culture to life with a luxuriously modern twist, it will join an impressive roster of fellow hotels in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and more.

The Caban, Carmarthenshire

Opening Spring 2023

A seaside escape will land on Pendine Sands, Wales, this year. Nestled along the 7-mile stretch of sandy beach, The Caban will be a two storey, 14-room, hotel that offers sea views and relaxing accessible bedrooms – which are all dog friendly. Guests can dive into freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes – catering to every taste – from the restaurant and bar which overlooks Carmarthen Bay. Not only is the hotel within easy reach of the beach, known as being a hotspot for breaking the world land speed record, but will also be near to the new state-of-the-art Museum of Land Speed, showcasing memorable speedy moments – set to open in 2023. The likes of water sports, foraging and rock pooling can also be found along The Wales Coast Path.

 

The BoTree, London

Opening July 2023

Summer 2023 will see one of London’s newest luxury hotels open its doors. The BoTree will boast a five-star offering, equipped with 199 rooms, 29 grand suites, bars, a rooftop restaurant, destination restaurant, a live music club, fitness centre and screening room. Located between the neighbourhoods of Marylebone and Mayfair, the area is renowned for its independent shops, fine dining and designer brands. Inside, renowned Dutch designers Concrete bring a palette of natural textures alongside vibrant pops of colour to create a chic and inspiring environment. Each room will be segmented with sliding panels to create a harmonious divide between living and sleeping quarters, while suites will boast a personal bar, cocktail station and balcony. For heightened luxury, look to the Presidential Suite for sweeping city-wide views, an outdoor terrace and an exclusive private elevator.

 

The Mole Resort, Devon

Opening summer 2023

Luxury and nature combine at The Mole Resort, Devon’s newest offering due to open this summer. Bringing together eco-conscious lodges and activities – including disc (frisbee) golf, swimming, cycling, croquet and more – this is set to be an unmissable destination for the eco-adventurer. The resort will initially offer 15 lodges sleeping up to eight people each, all with hot tubs and a balcony deck. There are plans to expand to 58 lodges in total, alongside the refurbishment of Highbullen Hotel and estate cottages. Guests can expect a full events programme with horse-riding and foraging for summer 2023, too. For a bite to eat, the Cellars Bar and Restaurant will be serving up local Devon ingredients, while development plans include an all-day café and farm shop.
