Sloane Place, Chelsea

Opened September 2021

A new boutique hotel encapsulating the spirit of Chelsea, Sloane Place occupies a five-storey Victorian building next door to sister property Sloane Club, which was founded by Queen Victoria’s daughter, Princess Helena, in 1922. It’s a location bursting with history, yet being just a stone’s throw from Sloane Square, the interior décor reflects the Chelsea of today, with plush furnishings and deep colours spanning all rooms and suites. There is also an on-site restaurant, rooftop terrace and underground bar called The Hideaway, offering complimentary canapés and a tempting gin menu.

INNSiDE by Melia, Liverpool

Set in the heart of the city, INNSiDE Liverpool by Melia is a new 17-floor hotel boasting more than 200 beds across studio rooms and suites. Evenings here can be spent at Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street restaurant and rooftop 360 Sky Bar, which is complete with panoramic views over the city and resident DJs – all just a short walk from the iconic Royal Albert Docks.

Rick Stein’s shepherd’s huts, Cornwall

Renowned celebrity chef Rick Stein has added five shepherd’s huts to the grounds of The Cornish Arms, a cosy British pub in St Merryn, near Padstow, Cornwall. Designed by Jill, Ed and Kate Stein, the modern self-catering units include kitchenettes, dining areas and bathrooms, as well as private decking made from local stone. Nestled in woodland just five minutes from stunning beaches, these bright and airy shepherd’s huts offer a tranquil bolthole for two people looking to explore Cornwall.

House of Jöro, Sheffield

Opened June 2021

Foodies can take note of Sheffield’s latest boutique hotel offering, the House of JÖRO, which opened in the city centre in mid-2021. Expanding on the northern city’s premier restaurant JÖRO, this taste-centric hotel is comprised of four rooms and a 10-seat chef’s table. There are two booking options, with each stay including a signature eight-course tasting dinner or lunch, and both experiences offering a breakfast hamper in the morning.

Selina, Camden

Opened May 2021

Wake up surrounded by quirky style in one of London’s popular boroughs with a stay at Selina Camden. Hostel guests can choose from 30 stylish rooms, with private, private plus or shared options, the latter of which can sleep up to eight people. Ideally situated for London’s numerous performance venues and nightlife – The Roundhouse can be found opposite – the hostel also hosts a packed programme of in-house events, including live music and wellness experiences. Eco-conscious visitors can also look forward to sampling Selina’s vegan eatery, Powerplant.

Hotel Indigo, Exeter

Opening summer 2022

Hospitality giants InterContinental Hotels Group are preparing to breathe new life into a 1950s department store in the heart of Exeter with Hotel Indigo, set to welcome guests in summer 2022. They plan to bring their signature style to rooms and suites, with the hotel set to feature a restaurant, spa and rooftop terrace with views over to Exeter Cathedral – right at the heart of the city’s shopping district.

Parkgate Hotel, Cardiff

Opening October 2021

Sports fans can look forward to staying in a luxury hotel within touching distance of Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, as Parkgate Hotel prepares to open its doors this autumn. Part of the Celtic Collection, the 170-room hotel will be housed in the city’s former Post Office and County Court buildings and will have a rooftop pool, spa and traditional tea lounge. Guests can combine their stay with an international rugby event with one of the sports packages, complete with a three-course meal, or a tour of the stadium.

Cameron House, Scotland

Reopening September 2021

Reopening after a £30 million refurbishment, Scotland’s five-star resort Cameron House hotel has been restored to new levels of luxury. The 17th century mansion lies on the banks of Loch Lomond and offers stunning views of the Scottish landscape. The tranquillity continues inside too, with a new leisure club boasting an 18-metre pool, sauna, and bubble pool. Golf fans can also reserve time at the Cameron Golf Club, while foodies can discover the Clubhouse, Boat House and Cameron Grill – serving seafood, afternoon tea and light bites accompanied by loch-side views. A further extension to the resort is due to open in 2022, adding a further 68 bedrooms.
