11 Bridgerton-themed tours in Britain

The record-breaking Netflix series Bridgerton has inspired audiences around the world to dream of life in Regency Britain. With a range of tours on offer themed around the series, there are a host of ways to bring Bridgerton to life once we’re all ready to travel again, from promenades and tours of filming locations to five-star hotel breaks fit for Dukes and Duchesses.

From London to the Ton

Visitors can look forward to experiencing the Ton’s social season in one day with the Go Tours Bridgerton Locations Tour. Leaving from London, this small-group excursion takes visitors on an adventure through some of the series’ key filming locations and Britain’s best-loved Regency highlight, the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. Fans of the show will marvel at the grand venues used to film the residences of the Featheringtons, Lady Danbury and the Duke of Hastings. They will also have the chance to explore the cobbled streets and honey-coloured buildings of Bath on a group walking tour with an expert guide. 

Rabbies have created three private day tours full of Bridgerton-themed magic. Available to book once lockdown restrictions are lifted, the excursions include a London itinerary taking in highlights such as Syon House, where Bridgerton’s Queen Charlotte dined. It will also explore historic Greenwich and will see visitors follow in the footsteps of their favourite characters with a promenade through Cobham’s Painshill Park, the backdrop to several scenes in the show. Visitors can watch the romance of Bridgerton spring to life while riding in one of Britain’s modern-day carriages – a black taxi!  Run by Brit Movie Tours and leaving from central London, this brand new tour includes Wilton House, which fans will recognise as the backdrop to multiple locations in the show, including Buckingham Palace. Next visitors will be whisked to Bath, home to many Bridgerton hot spots, including the filming locations of Gunter’s Tea Shop, Lady Dee’s Hat Emporium and Lady Danbury’s grand residence. 

Visitors can also plan to embark on a luxurious Bridgerton film locations tour with Luxury Vacations UK. A few swoon-worthy inclusions to look forward to are an afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent Hotel, the chance to soak up some Regency-era literature at the Jane Austen Centre, and a trip to the Fashion Museum, home to a fantastic collection of Georgian gowns. 

Mini-break like a Bridgerton

For an even more immersive adventure, visitors can dream of embarking on a four-day Bridgerton Mini-Break Tour with Contiki, which encompasses many of the top Regency hotspots and filming locations in London, Bath and Surrey. Fans of the show can look forward to discovering the filming locations of the home of Queen Charlotte and the Bridgertons, in addition to the private gentlemen’s club featured in the series. The city of Bath, a 90-minute train ride from London, is a hub for Regency history in Britain, making it a dream destination for Bridgerton fans. In addition to their black taxi tour, Brit Movie Tours are offering a two-hour Bridgerton Tour through Bath’s historic streets, passing some unmissable photo stops and numerous filming locations, including that of Madame Delacroix’s dress shop, Modiste.

Alternatively, future visitors can look forward to booking a 90-minute Bath Regency Walking Tour.
