London

Gordon Ramsay Burger

Visitors can look forward to enjoying casual cuisine by Michelin-starred British chef Gordon Ramsay, following the opening of Gordon Ramsay Burger on 4 December 2020. Located in Knightsbridge within luxury department store Harrods, the restaurant serves a sumptuous menu of gourmet burgers – including the all-British ‘farm burger’- and hot dogs. Made from the finest ingredients and complemented by hand-cut fries and indulgent shakes, these simple but decadent dishes are sure to delight foodies from across the globe.

Street Pizza and Street Burger

Taking the capital by storm, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants have also recently unveiled Street Pizza and Street Burger.

Street Pizza in Southwark opened its doors on 2 December, with Street Burger in St Paul’s following on 3 December 2020. The former serves mouth-watering bottomless pizzas, alongside moreish desserts including Negroni ice cream, Oreo milkshakes and cheesecake. Meanwhile, the Street Burger menu is bursting with tempting bites, such as the O.G.R, #BAE and Hell’s Kitchen burgers, all made with Lake District beef. The star of TV’s Hell’s Kitchen has promised a further three sites before the end of the year, at Battersea Power Station, Charing Cross Road and Kensington High Street. The vibrant new pizzerias offer bottomless pizza for £15, while a burger, fries and unlimited soft drink also costs £15.

Behind

Chic seafood eatery Behind is now welcoming diners, bringing an exclusive chef’s table experience to east London. Based near London Fields, it features just 18 kitchen-table seats, creating an intimate atmosphere for lunch and dinner. Created by Andy Beynon, the former development chef under Jason Atherton, the eight-course tasting menu costs £68 per person and uses seasonal ingredients cooked in inventive ways, all served directly by the chefs. A six-course lunch menu is also available on Thursday and Friday, alongside wine pairing options throughout the week.

CasaCosta

From open tables to hidden doors, new restaurant CasaCosta lies hidden within a traditional Italian food shop in the heart of Fulham. The latest offering from Macellaio RC founder Roberto Costa, the venue opened its inconspicuous door on North End Road on 3 December 2020. Diners can expect authentic Italian cuisine made with the highest quality ingredients, boasting a menu of delicious, hearty classics. Table-side preparation of some dishes, including the steak tartare and spaghetti al pomodoro, can be enjoyed in a stylish yet laid-back atmosphere.

Bisushima

Bisushima, a new Japanese-inspired rooftop restaurant, opened on 2 December on the sixth floor of the Page8 Hotel in Covent Garden. Flawlessly decorated in minimalist style, the restaurant boasts a separate bar and two large rooftop terraces, with views over Trafalgar Square and beyond. As well as an array of sashimi, nigiri and premium mini donburi, the à la carte menu offers delectable cold appetisers and carpaccio alongside grilled and hot dishes, including native lobster, sautéed scallops, miso pork and fried tofu.

Bath

Boho Marché

Boho Marché, an exotic all-day restaurant, lounge and bar, opened on 3 December within Bath’s Francis Hotel – a space that mixes contemporary style with grand Regency architecture. The restaurant’s menu showcases flavours from Morocco and the Mediterranean including smoked roast harissa farmyard chicken, locally sourced whole grilled seabass and English prime rib on the bone. Daytime diners can indulge in a Regency-inspired afternoon tea, while night owls can look forward to tasting a classic or signature cocktail at Bar No. 10. The stylish lounge also offers smaller bites including fresh salads, cakes and tempting sharing platters.

Plate

The Bird hotel opened its doors this winter along with a vibrant all-day eatery, Plate. With dishes as bold and inviting as the bright décor, foodies can look forward to an ever-changing menu featuring culinary delights such as pork, pistachio and prune terrine with fig chutney, Cornish bass, passionfruit cheesecake and a local cheese platter. Those looking for al fresco dining options in the city can take advantage of the outside terrace, which offers picture-perfect views over Bath Abbey and the city’s skyline.

Coming soon…

Cornwall

Emily Scott Food

Following a series of four festive pop ups this December, 30 March 2021 will see renowned chef Emily Scott open a new restaurant on the sea wall at Watergate Bay, near Newquay. Scott’s vibrant dishes and ethos of ‘no faffing, no fussing, just beautiful food’ promises to combine perfectly with the venue’s uninterrupted coastal views, for a Cornish dining experience to remember.

Coming soon to Glasgow

The first solo venture of chef Graeme Cheevers (formerly of Michelin-starred Isle of Eriska), Unalome will open in Kelvingrove Street, with Cheevers hoping the restaurant will receive the city’s first Michelin star since 2004.
