The Beatles Childhood Homes

From their humble beginnings, song-writing duo John Lennon and Paul McCartney went on to change the musical landscape of the world and you can tour their childhood homes, to see where they penned their first hits. The National Trust has preserved the two post-war homes in Liverpool - Mendips, John Lennon’s home and 20 Forthlin Road – Paul McCartney’s house.

The Beatles Story

For a complete guide to the Beatles, visit The Beatles Story museum at the Royal Albert Dock. It’s packed with memorabilia, such as John Lennon’s glasses, Ringo’s drums and George’s first guitar, as well as recreations of key locations like The Casbah and Cavern Club and Abbey Road Studios.

Magical Mystery Tour

One of the simplest ways to take in all the sights is on a Beatles bus tour. The Magical Mystery Tour is a two-hour city tour of key locations, including Ringo’s childhood home and St Peter’s Church, where John and Paul met. It’s run by The Cavern Club and includes entry to the venue.
