Cornwall is bursting with picture-perfect spots to soak up some sun, drift off to the soothing sounds of the splashing waves and enjoy a break from the city rush. Make yourself cosy, set up your folding beach chair and make the most out of your beach holiday.

1. Fistral Beach

Fistral Beach is located on the north coast of Cornwall and is a sought-after surfing location providing the perfect waves for thrill-seeking surfers-dude – be one with the wave! Fistral Beach’s surfing commitments are not to be bested with its established Surfing Centre locked and loaded and for first time surfers and professionals alike. The wide array of beach restaurants and shops are the perfect place to chill after a day of riding the waves!

2. Crantock Beach

Crantock Beach gives you the opportunity to walk along one of the most stunning sights in Britain. Immerse yourself in the romantic, picture-perfect scenery that greets you in your venture and marvel at the Kelsey headlands and twin offshore islands. 4. Perranporth Beach

You might stumble upon St Piran’s Cross found among Penhale Sands’ sand dunes. The stone cross is almost 2.5 meters tall and is the oldest of its sort found in Cornwall. You can easily veer back to civilisation with the village only a short walk away.

For a beginner’s session in surfing, ‘Surf’s Up’ – a surf school, will teach you anything and everything there is to know before you venture into the waters.

6. Tolcarne Beach

Tolcarne Beach is simply stunning. The golden sand and crescent-shaped bay along with the rugged cliffs backdrop will take your breath away. There’s a medley of activities to do on the beach including boogie boarding, fishing, cave exploration and more. The colourful beach cabins are the perfect location to watch the sun rise from the comfort of your bed – you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better glamping spot.

7. Sennen Beach

Sennen Beach is another striking surfing-hotspot as it embraces the full thrust of the Atlantic Ocean giving way to some phenomenal waves. Wander around the small fishing harbour and make sure to keep an eye out for beautiful sea glass scattered around the shore. You can also visit a number of extra attractions dotted around the area including novel galleries and shops
