>>>>> Scroll down to find out which UK Harry Potter locations I spotted in the trailer… >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> keep going... >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> The Scottish Highlands - appears in trailer at 0:12 Vast gleaming lochs with commanding mountains behind? It must surely be the Scottish Highlands; a favourite filming location for endless blockbusters including Braveheart, Local Hero and of course many of the Harry Potter films. Severn Crossing – appears in trailer at 0:55 Here we see Hagrid and Harry on the flying motorcycle, a vehicle which we haven’t seen since the first movie! What are they flying over? Looks like the Severn Crossing over the River Severn estuary between England and Wales to me! Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire, Wales – appears in trailer at 0:57 Hermione and Ron hold onto each other on the vast, remote beach of Freshwater West on the Pembrokeshire coastline. Did you spot Shell Cottage behind them? And in nearby Pembroke, you can also see locations from the recent Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe. Scotland’s West Coast steam railway – appears in trailer at 1:07 There’s no mistaking The Jacobite steam engine which plays ‘Hogwarts Express’ chugging through the Scottish Highlands from Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, to Britain's deepest freshwater loch, Loch Morar as well as the deepest seawater loch in Europe, Loch Nevis! One of the most famous Harry Potter sights on this route is the iconic 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct. Ashridge, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire – appears in trailer at 1:26 OK, I can’t be too sure here as a 2-second glance of Harry running through a forest could be, well, any forest really. But I do know that the “Forbidden Forest” and various woodland scenes in all the films were shot at Ashridge, so there’s a fair chance it is. Piccadilly Circus, London – appears in trailer at 1:42 Just a snippet here, but I’d recognise those outfits anywhere! Harry and Ron in their suits and Hermione in that iconic red dress, it must be the scenes filmed at Piccadilly Circus in London’s West End.
