Rugged mountains, glistening lakes and vast expanses of National Parks - Wales has everything to be a secret agent’s perfect adventure playground. If visitors are keen to experience a dose of the Bond lifestyle, they can embark on an exhilarating journey from north to south, taking in some of the best landscapes and coastline that Wales has to offer.

 

DAY 1

10.00 Soar through the trees at Zip World Fforest

Visitors on a mission can step into the shoes of a secret agent among the rugged mountains and picturesque countryside of Snowdonia with an array of forest adventures. Centred in the striking woodland of the North Wales Conwy Valley, they can soar through the trees at Zip World Fforest, home to Britain’s only forest coaster, Europe’s highest giant swing and an exhilarating zip line safari. Or brave the heights of Plummet 2 as they drop through a trap door 100 feet above the forest floor!

The Forest Coaster experience costs from £20. Zip Safari priced from £40, the Skyride giant swing is £10 and Plummet 2 costs from £15.

 

Or zoom over Penrhyn Quarry on Velocity 2

Alternatively, visitors can jump onto the world’s fastest zip-line for an exhilarating ride across Penrhyn Quarry aboard Zip World Velocity 2. Set against the backdrop of what was once the planet’s largest slate quarry, they can fly 500 metres above the quarry lake at speeds of up to 100mph.

Velocity 2 costs from £65, pre-booking is recommended.

 

13.00 Grab a bite at the Surf Side Deli

After working up an appetite, visitors can tuck into freshly-made sandwiches and baked goods at Adventure Parc Snowdonia’s Surf Side Deli before getting set for an action-packed afternoon. Just the light lunch a secret agent needs!

 

14.00 Take to the waves at Adventure Parc Snowdonia

Afterwards, they can kick-start the afternoon by taking to the water to experience Surf Snowdonia, a world-first inland surf lagoon where waves are guaranteed. With stunning mountains providing the backdrop, you visitors can enjoy tuition at the surf academy or refine their skills in beginner, intermediate and advanced zones.

Structured surf lessons from £50 for adults and from £40 for children. Wave sessions from £35 for adults and from £30 for children. Wetsuit hire is available. Prices for other attractions at Adventure Parc Snowdonia vary.

 

16.00 Explore Conwy or Llandudno

Next, they can spend the evening sneaking among the shadows of the imposing 13th century walls and towers of Conwy Castle, or explore the sands and Victorian promenade of Llandudno a short distance along the coast, the largest seaside resort in Wales.

 

18.30 Dine at an award-winning bistro

With its floor-to-ceiling windows providing stunning views of Colwyn Bay, visitors can look forward to sitting down for dinner in the lavish surroundings of the award-winning Bryn Williams’ bistro at Porth Eirias, which scooped the title of AA Restaurant of the year for Wales 2019/20, as well as a Bib Gourmand Award by Michelin in 2021. They’ll look out over the golden sands of Porth Eirias beach while tucking into the restaurant’s menu of local and seasonal ingredients. From small plates to enticing sharing dishes, they can get their teeth into an abundance of freshly caught seafood, meats and vegetarian options.

 

DAY 2

9.00 Embark on a Triumph off-roading adventure

Next morning, visitors can venture from north to south Wales to spend day two at the Triumph Motorcycles Adventure Experience in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The venue takes off-roading to the next level, utilising an array of roads and trails aboard the Triumph Tiger, Bonneville Street Scrambler or Scrambler 1200. With guidance from experienced instructors, visitors can tackle challenging natural terrain and really get to grips with off-road riding.

A Level 1 experience day on a Scrambler or Tiger is £299 per person. Longer courses are available and prices vary.

 

Or dive into a coasteering adventure

Fans of the water can grab a wetsuit, don a buoyancy aid and explore the picturesque Gower and Pembrokeshire coastlines on a coasteering quest with Antur Outdoor. Visitors will traverse rocky coastlines and coves as plunging waves provide the soundtrack. They’ll also enjoy swimming, scrambling and cliff jumping, as well as a host of breathtaking views.

Coasteering experiences are priced from £55 per person. All equipment is provided.

 

18.00 Grab a bite at Langland’s Brasserie

Occupying a secluded spot close to Mumbles in Swansea, the family-owned Langland’s Brasserie offers beach-front dining and a menu packed with scrumptious seafood and other delightful local produce.  Visitors can take in the region’s striking surroundings while tucking into an ever-changing array of fresh fish specials, tapas and other seasonal produce.

 

Or enjoy a slice of Michelin-starred food

Alternatively, foodies can enjoy an array of Michelin-starred food in the intimate surroundings of Slice, a small 16-seater restaurant in Swansea from chef pairing Adam Bannister and Chris Harris. Visitors can expect carefully curated dishes packed with locally sourced ingredients, with three-course and six-course tasting menus to pick from.
