TFL AND VISITBRITAIN LAUNCH EXCLUSIVE LONDON DISCOUNTS WITH VISITOR OYSTER CARD

VisitBritain, the UK’s national tourism agency, and Transport for London (TfL) have collaborated with iconic London companies including Liberty, Fortnum & Mason and the V&A Museum to offer Visitor Oyster card holders an array of exclusive money off discounts, 2-for-1 deals and free gifts. The offers will be available from today (2 July 2014).

Travel operators can buy the Visitor Oyster card in bulk with up to 13% discount. The cards don’t expire so stock is easy to maintain and they are available with free point of sales creative and user agent training, as well as free international shipping.

The Visitor Oyster card is one of the cheapest ways to travel around the capital. Available with a range of pre-paid top-up values in accordance with the customer’s duration of stay, it is the ‘must have’ ticket for visitors coming to London, whether they are from overseas or elsewhere in Britain. There is no need to select a specific date of arrival asthe card will activate itself when first used, allowing its holder to immediately start making the most of London’s public transport services.

VisitBritain is Transport for London’s sole management agent for the promotion and distribution of the Visitor Oyster card internationally. This successful partnership has seen sales of the card increase by 55% since 2012/13.

The Visitor Oyster Card is just one of the products that can be purchased on VisitBritain’s online shop, alongside a range of packaged tours, passes, travel essentials and souvenirs. Popular products outside London include tickets for Warwick Castle, the ‘1 Day Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands Tour’ and the ‘City Sightseeing: Cardiff' tour.
