  • European Athletics Championships

    10 – 16 August 2026 

    It’s Britain’s first time hosting the prestigious European Athletics Championships, which promises world-class track and field battles and record-breaking performances. Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium is the host of seven days of nail-biting action, with more than 1,500 elite athletes taking part. 

  • Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games 

    23 July – 2 August 2026 

    More than 3,000 athletes from 74 countries will descend on Scotland’s largest city for a splendid summer of sport as part of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The competitions range from artistic gymnastics to para powerlifting, with four Glaswegian venues hosting the action.  

  • ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 

    12 June – 12 July 2026 

    Be wowed by the batting skills of 12 teams, including England, in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, showcasing some of cricket’s best players. Look out for matches in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester and Southampton. 

  • 154th Open at Royal Birkdale 

    12 – 19 July 2026 

    Royal Birkdale, nestled among sand dunes, becomes an 11-time host of The Open in 2026. One of The Open rota’s most challenging courses, the Southport links last hosted the tournament in 2017.

  • Women’s FA Cup Final 

    31 May 2026 

    The mighty Wembley Stadium in London hosts some of our finest footballers in a high-octane shoot out for the FA Cup. The atmosphere will be electric – cheer on your favourite team until you’re hoarse.  

  • Women’s WTA 500 

    8 – 14 June 2026 

    Women’s WTA 500 tennis returns to London’s Queen’s Club during the HSBC Championships. Tatjana Maria defeated Amanda Anisimova in 2025’s finals – will she keep her crown?

  • AIG Women’s Open 

    29 July – 2 August 2026 

    Royal Lytham & St Annes welcomes some of golf’s greatest players to the Lancashire seaside for the sixth time as part of the AIG Women’s Open. They’ll need precision and nerve to succeed – and there are the course’s 174 pot bunkers to keep an eye on too. 

  • The Hundred 

    Summer 2026 (TBC) 

    Cricket’s never been more thrilling than The Hundred, which sees eight women’s and men’s teams from seven different British cities battle it out across venues in England and Wales this summer. The challenge? To score as many runs as possible from 100 balls. 

  • London Athletics Meet 

    Saturday 18 July 2026 

    Hurdles, discus, high jump, pole vault… Whatever you’re interested in, the London Athletics Meet has it. Held at the London Stadium, this is the world’s biggest one-day athletics meet and promises a showstopping day out. 

  • ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 

    12 June – 5 July 2026  

    Get ready for a summer of top-class cricket in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, held at seven different venues across England. The action kicks off at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium between England and Sri Lanka.
