‘Party is in the air’

Generation millennial, listen up! We are travelling around Great Britain in search of the best places to party, and we have found that the British nightlife is just like you: young and restless.

British parties do not only thrive at pubs; there are often pints and friendly gatherings at a concert or a football match. In many cities, especially those full of students, parties go on until late at night. Here, we will give you some essential pointers so you know where to party. These are the best areas, clubs and nightclubs in Great Britain, if you want to stretch the night.

Newcastle and Gateshead, the best parties in Europe

These 2 cities, located in the northwest of England, are connected by seven bridges. The River Tyne separates them and the Quayside brings them together. This area is full of bars and restaurants and its lively atmosphere reaches the city centre through Grey Street. Newcastle-Gateshead has been chosen one of the 3 best cities in Europe for partying. Digital, one of the largest nightclubs in the city, is a must-go, ranked number 11 among the best clubs in the world, according to a group of 1,000 DJs. It has 2 rooms and weekend events that feature world-renowned DJs. On Mondays, it is usually full of students, because of discounted offers on entry and drinks.

Manchester, a meeting point for university students

In this English city, thanks to the large population of university students, the nightlife never stops. The busiest area is Withy Grove, where you find Tiger Tiger, the most famous nightclub in the city. It is not just a nightclub, but also a restaurant and a karaoke venue. Hula Bar, in the Northern Quarter, is an exotic atmosphere to enjoy mojitos, caipirinhas, daiquiris and pina coladas, reminiscent of tropical Hawaiian beaches. Funkademia, also located in the Northern Quarter, is a large nightclub that plays the best soul, funk, disco and hip-hop music every Saturday.

Generation millennial nights in Cardiff

The nightlife is largely concentrated in the city centre and Cardiff Bay. Not all clubs are open during the week, but Clwb Ifor Bach is. Throughout its 3 floors, this nightclub offers live music of all styles. Offering drinks for just £2, 7 days a week, the Wow Bar receives waves of youngsters. It organises events every day and has private rooms, commonly used for bachelor parties. Walkabout is a large 2-storey venue. It has huge plasma TVs, which are great to watch sports events during the week, while enjoying a bunch of cold beers. And when the televisions are off, the speakers are thumping, livening up the place for some of the best parties in the city.

Erasmus parties in Durham

Northeast of England, Durham attracts crowds of Erasmus students every year. Despite the small size, a party is guaranteed almost every day. Loveshack, located in the lively Walkergate, is the largest and most frequented nightclub. It usually holds the best birthday parties, and is definitely a must-go! Studio is another nightclub with many perks. And when people from Durham get bored, they just have to travel 10 minutes by train to get to Newcastle’s endless nightlife.

Leeds, enticing DJs from all around the world

Located in the north of England, this city has a very vivid social and nightlife, thanks to its university students and nightclubs, which attract world-renowned DJs. Hifi Club on Central Road has been chosen 3 times as the best club with live music in the Leeds Bar & Club annual awards. This nightclub is committed to offering a great variety of musical genres. Halo nightclub has a party to offer every day of the week, but what’s really extraordinary is that the building is an old church that maintains its original structure.

Glasgow, from pubs to clubs

This city has more than 700 pubs and bars to offer. The best areas for partying are the city centre and West End, where you can find a great number of student bars. Viper nightclub plans events every day of the week. Not all nightclubs in Glasgow offer bookings for people under 18, but Viper does. Teens can rent this venue with a DJ and arrange a non-alcoholic open bar for their parties. The Arches is yet another option in Glasgow, which claims that it "is not just a club, it's a culture institution."

Its bars and pubs are open until early in the morning. Within the city, there is one place you shouldn’t miss: The Mesmerist, a trendy pub for having one pint after another.
