Did you know you can go to ex-Man Utd and England players' Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs’ restaurant – called, believe it or not, Cafe Football! We went along to the London branch to try it out…
Located near the Olympic Park in London’s Stratford Westfield shopping centre, Cafe Football serves up light bites and bigger meals. The menu is high-quality favourites: burgers, pizzas, sharing platters, and there’s a real playfulness about everything from the napkins to how the food is served up.
Your pulled pork and beef burgers arrive in a ceramic plate shaped like a takeaway box, while your roast chicken and egg noodles come in a tall white china bowl reminiscent of a Pot Noodle.
Glazed pastry sausage rolls made with Dijon mustard and black pudding, delicious pies and ribs on the Starters Eleven sharing platter, a selection of imaginative burgers from aged beef to Welsh lamb and organic salmon... You get delightfully themed desserts too, like The Turf – a slice of chocolate and caramel cake iced to look like a football pitch, or you can just grab some sweets from the in-house sweetie counter.
The other branches are Cafe Football Old Trafford, located on the ground floor of Hotel Football and next to Manchester United’s ‘Theatre of Dreams’, and Cafe Football National Football Museum, located on the ground floor of the iconic building in Manchester city centre.- drop into the bar for a selection of cocktails, wine and beer, including their own CF Beer, crafted locally by Seven Bro7hers Brewery.
Well, it’s the final whistle here at Cafe Football, and they definitely scored!
