Formed in 1879 by a churchwarden and teacher for the local schoolboys at St Andrew’s Church, Fulham is the oldest professional football club in London.
Fulham fans are called “The Cottagers” after their club’s home ground Craven Cottage in south west London. The team is often called “The Whites”, the colour of their home kit.
Famous Fulham players include George Best and the captain of England’s 1966 World Cup team, Bobby Moore.
Fulham’s biggest achievement so far was reaching the UEFA Europa League Final in 2010. Sadly, they were beaten 2-1 by Atlético Madrid.
