Everton Football Club

Originally called St Domingo FC for the people of St Domingo’s Church parish, the club was renamed Everton when people from outside the parish wanted to play too.

Everton Football Club’s home ground is Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, where they can be seen to play in royal blue shirts. The club's supporters are known as “Evertonians” and have a strong rivalry with neighbouring Liverpool FC, whose Anfield ground is just one mile away.

One of 12 clubs that founded the Football League in 1888, having been formed a decade previously, Everton have competed in the top division of English football for all but four seasons since.

The club’s honours include five FA Cup wins and nine league titles, the last of which was in 1987.
