With more than 100 food festivals firing up annually, Britain is serving up scrumptious food with a healthy dollop of music and a side of good times. England, Scotland and Wales are celebrating internationally diverse cuisine, home-grown produce and mouth-watering local flavours. With events popping up everywhere from Edinburgh city centre to the green fields of the Isle of Wight, we’ve sliced and diced a list of London’s biggest food events and the regions’ top food festivals to get your teeth into…

  • Scottish Vegan Festival

    April 2026 (TBC) 

    Head to Edinburgh for all-vegan stalls from local traders, packed with food, drink, clothing, crafts, film screenings, guest speakers and more.

  • Cheltenham Vegan Market

    5 July 2026 

    Get stuck into vegan streets food, cakes, ethical fashion and cruelty-free cosmetics.

  • Vegan Camp Out

    14 – 17 August 2026 

    Grab your tents and head to Bygrave Woods, Hertfordshire, for this festival with music, yoga, meditation, face painting, workshops, and vegan food of course.

  • The Welsh Vegan Festival

    August 2026 (TBC)

    Held in the nation’s capital, Cardiff, this vegan festival includes tasty eats, events, plus free goodie bags for VIP entry ticket holders.

  • Yes, the UK hosts a variety of festivals and events dedicated to plant-based and vegan food. Notable events include the London Vegan Fayre, the Scottish Vegan Festival and the multi-day Vegan Campout. Many of the larger general food festivals also have a variety of stalls and dedicated areas catering to vegetarian and vegan diets, so are accessible to all. 

  • In Scotland, you can find food festivals such as the Edinburgh Food Festival and the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Wales hosts the Abergavenny Food Festival, the Brecon Beacons Food Festival and the Cardiff Food and Drink Festival. Northern Ireland is also represented by events like the Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey Festival. 

  • The UK hosts festivals dedicated to specific food products, including the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, where you can celebrate this pungent but delicious ingredient. The Lymington Seafood Festival and Rock Oyster Festival focus on fresh seafood, oysters, and other coastal delicacies. 

  • Many food festivals feature craft beer, wine, and local drink vendors. However, there’s also UK festivals solely dedicated to drinks, such as the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, the Bristol Craft Beer Festival and the Great British Beer Festival. All perfect for a little tipple.
