Karting and driving experiences in Britain

The fast-and-furious world of Formula 1 squeals onto the big screen this summer in F1, starring Brad Pitt. But you don’t need to be a movie star or pro racing driver to experience the thrills and spills of motorsport. Buckle up for adventure – whether that’s spinning around the Silverstone circuit in the tyre-tracks of Sir Lewis Hamilton or strapping into the simulator for a virtual race at the F1 Arcade.

More motoring action

  • F1 DRIVE

The worlds of Formula 1 and go karting collide in F1 DRIVE, the high-octane driving experience at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Zoom around the 500m track, with 17 turns to tackle, in F1-inspired karts – complete with incredible engine noises. Refuel at the on-site bar, serving up burgers and loaded fries worthy of champions.

  • Quarry Karts

Talk about a zoom with a view… See Snowdonia (Eryri) from a mountain kart as you whizz down a slate-lined slope at speeds of up to 25mph. You’ll get two goes on the 3km (1.8 miles) track to perfect your skills or take in the sights. This experience is based at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, so if you’re looking for more thrills, there’s Velocity, the world’s fastest zipline, to take on afterwards.

  • Knockhill Racing Circuit

From karting to rally driving, the buzzing Knockhill circuit in Fife has it all – and more. If you’re happiest as a spectator, there’s a great calendar of car and bike racing to keep you busy. Or, get into the driving seat of a Ferrari or Aston Martin for the ultimate spin in a supercar. For something a bit different, strap into a rally car and experience the fun of driving sideways.

Wet and wild watersports in Britain

Zip up your wetsuit to discover Britain’s waters, from sea-spritzed kayak adventures off the Scottish coast to fast-and-furious river rafting in north Wales. If you’re happier on dry land, watch the pros in action at the Cowes Week sailing regatta on the Isle of Wight, or head to Britain’s biggest boat show in Southampton. Wherever you go, you’re sure to make a splash.
