  • Royal Exchange 

    The Grade I listed Royal Exchange arcade includes luxury shopping brands and high end restaurants, all housed in an opulent, historic building. If you want to reenact the scene when Bridget and Mark kiss in the snow then you’re in luck, as there’s no better time to visit than at Christmas. Expect festive food markets, exciting pop-ups and fairytale decorations.

  • Royal Courts of Justice 

    Learn the history of London’s high court at the Royal Courts of Justice and explore its gothic architecture on a guided tour. Opt to join a half-day walking tour, that covers both the Royal Courts of London and the Old Bailey, telling fascinating stories of the most famous historic cases tried there. This is where Bridget has an interview with Mark Darcy in the first film.

  • Mayfair 

    Mayfair, a prestigious neighbourhood in London’s West End, is home to designer shops – like the high-end lingerie store that Bridget visits – luxury restaurants and exclusive nightclubs. For a unique treat, try the innovative afternoon tea with a twist in stylish restaurant Sketch.  

  • Institute of Contemporary Arts 

    Central London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts is a cultural space hosting a range of exhibitions, film screenings and talks. There’s always something interesting to see – like the book launch that Bridget goes to here in the first film. Afterwards, visit their bar for the most affordable food and cocktails you’ll find this close to Buckingham Palace.  

  • London Aquatics Centre 

    Designed by award-winning architect Zaha Hadid, London Aquatics Centre was home to the swimming and diving events of London 2012 and saw team GB collect several medals. Now it’s open to the public, and anybody can swim under its iconic curved roof. Bridget couldn’t have chosen a more stylish location for her birthing classes in Bridget Jones’s Baby.

  • The Globe Tavern 

    A quintessentially British pub beneath the railway arches of London Bridge - and Bridget Jones’ local! The main character herself lives in the flat about The Globe Tavern, and it’s often featured in exterior shots of the property.  

  • The Light Bar, Shoreditch 

    This three storey restaurant in an old power station has a secret margarita garden and a creative, seasonal menu. With a prime east London location, The Light Bar featured as a hangout spot for the whole gang in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.  

  • Hampstead

    Hampstead showcases the cosmopolitan side of London. Part of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy was filmed here, in Haverstock Hill and Hampstead Heath, as well as at the Sayeh and Galton Flowers florist on Flask Walk, and The Flask pub. It is on Flask Walk that Bridget buys Mabel a hot chocolate.

  • Petersham House

    Petersham House is a 17th-century mansion in Richmond, the private residence of the owners of Petersham Nurseries. The garden party scene in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, during which Bridget’s suitor dives into a swimming pool to save a dog, was filmed here. The extensive gardens are home to a tennis court, vegetable garden and pool.

  • St James’ Church, Shere

    Pretty Shere in Surrey is a quintessentially English village, with cosy pubs, thatched buildings and 12th-century St James’ Church. In the final romantic scene of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, the church is where Bridget’s parents renew their wedding vows.

  • Syon House and Park

    This grand stately home in Middlesex has classical interiors full of artwork and 40 acres of lush gardens. Explore Syon independently, or opt for a guided tour to learn the stories behind the house and gardens. In Bridget Jones’ Diary, it sets the scene for the Darcys’ ruby wedding anniversary.

  • Saint Lawrence Church, West Wycombe

    This distinctive church is easily spotted, thanks to its hilltop location and golden ball at the top of its tower. But you might also recognise it from Bridget Jones’s Baby – this is where Bridget and Mark finally get married.

  • Lake District, Cumbria

    A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lake District captivates with its majestic mountains, crystal clear lakes and breathtaking landscapes. In Bridget Jones, Bridget accompanies a school trip to Cumbria and several scenes, including Bridget’s slide on a footbridge, were filmed in Keswick and Thirlmere.

  • Snowshill, Broadway, Gloucestershire

    Snowshill is a small village in the Cotswolds with typical cottages, historical monuments, and hilly landscapes. In all the films, Bridget visits her parents here. In Bridget Jones’s Diary, she takes a taxi past St Barnabas Church and walks past Snowshill Manor Farmhouse towards a property called Hall’s Piece.

  • Bridget Jones’s Diary is predominantly filmed in London but some scenes were also shot in Gloucestershire in England. 

  • Bridget Jones’ flat is at 8 Bedale Street in Southwark, London, above the Globe Tavern in Borough Market – where Thai restaurant Khao Bird now sits. However, this only featured as the exterior. The interior scenes were shot at Elstree Studio. The Khao Bird may be worth visiting for fans of the franchise, with some menu items dedicated to the movie.

  • Bridget Jones’ parents’ house is located in Snowshill, Gloucestershire, England. As it’s a private home, it isn’t open to visitors. However, parts of the surrounding Cotswolds village may be recognised from the film.
