Visit Ted Lasso filming locations in Britain

An American college football coach and a struggling English football club prove a transatlantic match made in heaven in sports comedy Ted Lasso. Ted’s team, AFC Richmond, may be fictional, but the pitch-perfect London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is a real-life star.  

Kick off at the Paved Court, where you’ll find Ted’s flat, and browse the independent boutiques that also call this cobbled street home. Snap a picture on the wooden bench where Ted and Coach have their heart-to-hearts. And before the final whistle blows, make time for a pint of ale at the real Crown and Anchor. Take a stroll along the cobbles of Paved Court – Ted Lasso’s street. Sadly, scenes in Ted’s flat are shot in a studio, but you’ll definitely recognise this quaint row of shops from the series: think independent cafes, fashion boutiques and jewellers. Pay homage to everyone’s favourite soccer coach at the Official Ted Lasso Store, selling everything from themed hoodies to magnets emblazoned with Ted’s iconic ‘Believe’ sign.

The Prince’s Head

  • Ted Lasso was predominantly filmed in the Greater London area of England, specifically Richmond. Only one episode titled Sunflowers was filmed outside of Great Britain, in Amsterdam.

  • Yes, Richmond is the main location that Ted Lasso was filmed in England. The town features heavily in the show, particularly locations such as Richmond Green and Prince’s Head Pub and is where Ted Lasso lived at 9 ½ Paved Court. However, the address only featured as the exterior of Ted Lasso’s home, the inside was filmed on a set in the West London Film Studios.

  • Ted Lasso was filmed in several areas across London including Wembley Stadium and Selhurst Park, which played a role as the home stadium of Ted Lasso’s fictional football club AFC Richmond.

  • The character Jamie Tartt in the series Ted Lasso is originally from Manchester, a metropolitan city in England.
