See Dundee – and if you’re lucky, its resident dolphins – on a fun-filled RIB adventure. Join SaltDog Marine on their popular one-hour trips from Broughty Ferry, where you’ll be treated to a sea-breezy new perspective on Dundee’s sights. Look out for the striking V&A Gallery and the Larick Beacon, an old pile lighthouse, as well as the odd cruise ship. There’s even a community of bottlenose dolphins who call this area home, so keep an eye out for them.
Zip World Fforest
For those who dare, adrenaline lovers and the gently curious alike, head to the idyllic woodland setting of the Conwy Valley and take on Zip World Fforest. For forest-based adventures there’s also the Fforest Coaster, bouncing fun on Treetop Nets or zip line and adventure courses high in the trees. Endless Adventure North East
This outdoor activity company is all about making amazing memories, by exploring the wild wonders of Britain’s North East. Fishing trips are also available, while the Crannog Centre features traditional ‘roundhouses’ that were built on the lake thousands of years ago. From ziplines and via ferratas, to camping on the edge of a cliff – this outdoor activity centre in the Lake District is a thrill-seeker’s paradise. As a working slate mine, it has subterranean adventures too: think underground rock climbing, rope bridges and behind-the-scenes tours of the tunnels.
Go Ape Thetford
Home of the first Go Ape activity centre, this wild woodland offers thrilling high ropes courses for every age group – with the Treetop Adventure (for tots), Adventure Plus (for older kids) and Treetop Challenge (for grown-ups).
