Peggy Porschen, a delightful bakery found in London's Belgravia, is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love of all things pink! Step through the pastel-pink, floral façade into a world of freshly baked delights, including a vanilla chiffon cake, dusted with sweet sugar polka dots and topped with multi-coloured macaroons. You can even take part in one of their master classes and become a master baker too.

Violet, London, England

Violet has been serving up sweet and savoury delights to the capital’s hungry customers since 2010. And now to add to its accolades, Violet is now a royal baker! The bakery began its humble beginnings sharing their homemade goodies in Broadway Market, cooking from home, before opening the laid-back bakery in East London.

Lily Vanilli isn’t just home to some truly delicious cakes - they’re a treat for the eyes too. Head over if you’re hungry for a lunch time snack and try a fluffy doughnut, filled with rich Bailey’s ice cream. Or, if you’re looking for an all-out showstopper wedding piece, take a look at one of their bespoke triple-tiered, botanical beauties. Best grab yourself a slice of the action.

The Flour Pot Bakery, Brighton, South East England

This Hove-based bakery in Brighton serve an evolving selection of freshly baked artisan deliciousness. Don’t be fooled by their interior of bare brick walls and rugged wooden though, you can rest assured they’re mixing up magic in their kitchen. Our Insta-worthy favourites are their doughnuts: expect gorgeous round spheres, with fillings of ruby-red raspberry, mixed berry and toasted marshmallow, and even mocha and banoffee.

Deeply rooted in the cute village of Orford, in Suffolk, is The Pump Street Bakery. You won’t miss it, it has a pink exterior and is somewhat of a local attraction in Orford. Try their delicious doughnut, consisting of lemony enriched dough, filled with either raspberry, rhubarb and redcurrant jam or fresh custard. The bakers take inspiration from all over the globe and, even better, their loaves are named after local villages.

Steam Yard, Sheffield, Northern England

Steam Yard have been sharing their love of coffee since early 2014 to the locals of Sheffield. With a friendly, relaxed atmosphere it’s easy to sit back, relax, and get your caffeine fix. Accompany your coffee with a Cronut: a croissant-doughnut pastry invented by New York City pastry chef Dominique Ansel, courtesy of the 4 Eyes Patisserie.

Cuckoo’s Bakery, Edinburgh, Scotland

A post shared by Cuckoo's Bakery (@cuckoosbakery) on

A cosy tearoom and artisan bake house, Cuckoo’s Bakery is said to be the home of Edinburgh's quirkiest cakes. Cuckoo’s cupcake connoisseurs freshly bake everything daily using local Scottish produce, so it really is no surprise they’ve won ‘Best Cake in Scotland’ three years running. Try their vanilla sponge, filled with Galloway Lodge raspberry jam and a swirl of white chocolate frosting, it just so happens to be the cake that won them the accolade.
